The Lake Rabun Foundation was recently notified that it will be the recipient of two generous bequests from the estate of Christina Freeman. Christina, a long time Lake Rabun resident, died May 30, 2020. Christina was an original member of the 1915 Planned Giving Society. In 2014, Christina funded the first Lake Rabun Endowed Scholarship in memory of her Mother, Herta Schartle.
These bequests were directed to the Lake Rabun Fund and to the Lake Rabun Scholarship Fund. These remarkable and thoughtful gifts will allow the Lake Rabun Foundation to expand its scholarship program and to increase the level of community outreach grants.
Planned Gifts through the 1915 Society, along with the generous support of the Annual Fund provide a strong foundation for sustaining and growing the impact the Lake Rabun Foundation can have in our beloved Rabun community.
