Awards & Recognition
Almost all members of Lake Rabun Association contribute to and participate in Association activities and programs. Many bring their talents and expertise to program planning, execution of Lake Rabun Foundation fundraising activities, and involvement in the broader Rabun County community. A select few are honored by Association members through awards that recognize their extraordinary contributions.
The Whippoorwill Award
recognizes an LRA member’s long service to LRA and the Lake Rabun community.
The Whippoorsnapper Award
goes to a young LRA member who exhibits a spirit of giving back to the local community.
The Fred Stewart Shangri-La Award
honors individuals who have performed extraordinary and selfless acts in the community.
Buz Stone “Lake Rabun Cares” Award
spotlights LRA members who have made an impact through their involvement in the broader Rabun County community.
