Annual Fund

The Annual Fund has become the cornerstone of fundraising to support the Lake Rabun Foundation’s mission of providing scholarship assistance and charitable grants in Rabun County. Each year, LRA members are solicited one-time for support of the Foundation.

Regardless of the amount, your contribution to the Annual Fund is a testament to your dedication to the Foundation and its community work. We hope every LRA family will join us in supporting the Annual Fund. As a token of our appreciation, donors are recognized on the LRA website.

Each year when we conduct scholarship interviews, I am reminded of the needs in this community.  I am convinced the LRA scholarships are meaningful, and impact lives in Rabun County. In many cases, our four-year scholarship commitments make the difference in a student having the financial resources to graduate from a college or technical school program. This year, 64 Rabun students are receiving financial assistance from the Lake Rabun Foundation. Education is the key to unlocking a brighter future, and your contribution can help make dreams come true.

On behalf of LRA members, the Foundation also makes grants to more than 40 charitable and non-profit entities in Rabun County. These are organizations involved in child welfare, food assistance, education, public safety, and economic development. 

 If you are new to our lake community, this will be the only time each year you receive a letter requesting support for the LRF ANNUAL FUND. The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of our finances, providing nearly half of the Foundation’s $350,000 budget. Please join your LRA neighbors and consider a generous contribution to the 2024 Annual Fund. Help achieve our goal of 100% participation this year.
