Here is a reminder regarding the Lake Rabun drawdown schedule for 2024. Georgia Power Company requested that the LRA share this information with our membership.
Drawdown Schedule:
· October 28, 2024 — Starts down gradually from Normal (1687.5-88.0 elevation)
· November 8, 2024 — 10 feet down (1677.6 elevation)
· December 20, 2024 — Begins Refilling
· December 28, 2024 — Normal Pool (1687.5-88.0 elevation)
The drawdown allows lake residents to perform maintenance on their shoreline structures every third year. To receive a construction permit for new structures or for maintenance of existing structures, a construction application must be submitted, reviewed and approved by Georgia Power before starting construction. These applications can be found at website at www.georgiapower.com.
