NOTE NEW LOCATION – Old Hall’s Pavilion
The Lake Rabun Association, in partnership with Rabun County EMS, is pleased to offer annual CPR/AED training. Attend to learn or refresh your lifesaving skills taught by Captain Trampes Stancil, and assisted by our own Michael Crowe. As an added bonus, Trampes will also teach first aid techniques to staunch bleeding.
Lest you think this skill is somehow impractical, thanks to this training, at least two Lake Rabun residents received life-saving treatment via an AED and are with us today! You never know when you might be called upon to save a life!
Many residents on and around Lake Rabun have purchased AEDs for their homes – including seven families who at the LRA Memorial Day meeting committed to purchase an AED. These AEDs will be added to our master list and serve to protect our community! At this meeting, you will learn how to obtain an AED for your home at the Rabun County EMS price.
No registration necessary, but please RSVP to Pat Hickey at (404) 754-7829.
