DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to Ramble?  Please join us on July 5th\, at 7:30AM for the 19th Annual Rabun Ramble Road Race! Our 5K and 10K courses are perfect for runners and walkers alike. Registration is open at ACTIVE.com. Registration costs $35 from 4/1 until 6/22\, then $45 from 6/23 through 7/4\, and $50 cash or Venmo on race day. Please register early as we will have very limited registration on race day. Early number pick-up will be available on Friday\, July 4th\, from 1:00-5:00PM at the Pavilion. \nRace registrations are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal or state income tax purposes. \nThe race starts and ends at the Lake Rabun Pavilion. SUMMARY:Fireworks at the Dike
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, July 3th\, 2025; starts at dusk (9:15 pm +/-) at the dike; weather permitting \nJoin us by boat in the Lower Basin at dusk (approximately 9:30 pm) for our pyrotechnic rendition of “bombs bursting in air”.   If viewing by boat\, remember the entire Lower Basin is a no-wake zone to provide a safe environment for the flotilla of boats on hand.  When arriving\, no wake upon passing Witham Point. \nWhen departing the Lower Basin at the end of the fireworks show\, boats with flashing yellow lights will lead all boats out of the Lower Basin.  Do not pass the lead boats.  The DNR and Rabun County law enforcement will be on hand to enforce the no-wake policy.  Our fireboat will bring up the rear and be on hand for everyone’s safety.  We thank Michael Crowe for coordinating our safety protocols!

SUMMARY:Lake Rabun Boater Safety Class by USCG/DNR
DESCRIPTION:Mandatory Boater Education\n\n\n\nThis class is required by Georgia law for all boat operators born on or after January 1\, 1998.  Must register in advance!  Lunch and a T-shirt provided to participants! Come meet your Lake Rabun DNR Wardens! \n\nDo you have any boat operators in your household born on or after January 1\, 1998?  Georgia law requires that every boat operator meeting minimum age requirements born after that date complete a boating safety class.  This class satisfies that requirement – if you pass the test! \nThe class is taught by U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel\, and our Georgia DNR Warden Jackson Erwin will be in attendance as well. \nEach attendee must pre-register on the Georgia DNR website for a Georgia Outdoors account number.   \n  \nEach participant will be prompted to enter their Georgia DNR account number (an existing hunting or fishing license) OR sign up for an account.  If you DO NOT have a Georgia DNR account\, you will be required to enter your date of birth\, last name\, and the last four numbers of your Social Security number.  Account registration must be completed prior to the class.  Parents may need to assist their children in registering. \nRegister for the class by clicking below:\nClick here to register! \nPlease register on the website above and RSVP below for head count.   Contact Pat Hickey at pthickeyjr@gmail.com or (404) 754-7829 with any questions.
